ALBERT RÄSS

ALBERT RÄSS

He can hardly wait in winter until is getting spring. In mid-May, he is the first to set off, for his summer alp. During the entire alpine season, in the evening, in a singing tone, a prayer through a wooden trumpet, is sung on different inner-Rhodian Alps. Albert Räss calls the praying for over four decades every night at the Furgglenalp. He asks God and the intercession of the saints to provide shelter and shield for the night. Some things have changed, but he has always remained faithful to his rituals.
